Reflection on process

My research was in between. It wasn't easy,but at the same time it wasn't hard. The main thing I like the most about this research project is that I've learned a lot of new things about kidnapping that I didn't know. One thing I dislike is the reason why some people get kidnaps. I learned that one reason is that the person who kidnaps kids/adults only want ransome things such as jewlery or money. They do that becasue they know that their families would give up and do anything just to get them back home. I love this project it taught me alot. If we ever do this project again the next thing I would do research on is gangs and drugs.

This website helps me on my statistics and other things that I need to know about my topic. Another source I've used was http://www.klaaskids.org/. This is also a good website to use when you want to find the statistics for kids getting kidnapped. These sources were very helpful to me during my research.

Reflection paragraph on findings

Through out this research I've learned a lot about my topic. Before I did this research I thought kidnapping was just about taking some one  you didn't know,but its more to that then just taking someone. It wasn't very easy finding these facts out. Some of them was easy but the rest I had to do a long search. When I finally found out what I needed to know, I've learned than I thought. I learned that  some reason the kidnapper kidnaps their victim is because they want ransom things such as money or jewlery. So they kidnapper people children because they know that the parent would do anything and give up anything just to see their child again.

Through out my research I have learn some of the result of getting kidnapped is that when the kidnapper give a demand you have to do it. Another one is that sometimes they force you do things you don't want to. Or make you do a demand by force. If you refuse to do their force its a big possiblility that they will start abusing physically or emotional. Most of the time kidnappers will threat you by saying if you don't this or that they will kill or your family. I have learned that they only do these things to scare you and they know that if they threat you that you will do anything just to survive.

In my research I have found out one of the most common place kidnapping takes place. Phoenix, Arizona is known for where the most kidnapping takes place. Phoenix,Arizona is basically known as the America's kidnapping capital. I have also learned that one of the most common places the kidnappers take their victims is over the state line. Or better yet take them far away from where they live so they wouldnt know where to go or try to get away. Another place is most likely in a basement or a dark room. The kidnapper do that so the victim wouldn't know where they are at. When they do that the kidnapper make sure the victim bearly have acess to anything.

 I have learned that the kidnappers do punished for kidnapping some one that does not belongs to them. Also learned that you should be careful where you go because there are some crazy people out there and you will never know whos watching you. I've learn some of the reason of kidnapping. One of them is that they want something so they asked the parents of the child they kidnapped becuase they know they would give up anything just to see their child again. Another one is that they kidnapped children because they hate them. I have read some really good safety tips and some tips if you ever get kidnapped. One thing you should do is try your best to fight back so you wouldnt get in that situation because once you get kidnapped its a 50/50% that you will live to see another day. If you do live after you get kidnapped you have been truely been blessed.

To me this quote is saying that if you ever gets kidnapped most of all you will be terrified to death, but try to stay clam. They is saying that because the more clam you are the more you will be able to think and get all your thoughts together.Once you get your thoughts together you can try to find a way to escape or survive.

What I want to know about my topic

I already know good knowledge about my topic but there are some other interesting things about kidnapping such as:

•  What's the purpose of kidnapping?
•  Where is the most common places kidnappers take place?
•  Where is the most common places people get kidnapped?
•  What is the common result of getting kidnapped?
•  What are the consequences for the kidnappers when they get caught?

What I already know about my topic

What I already know about kidnapping is that it can happen to anybody for no reason. The kidnaper don't even have to know you. I know that it can happen any place and time. I also know that 50/50 % of the people who gets kidnapped is usually dead. But some are blessed to be alive. I know that you can be kidnapped by forced or either gun point. Most of the time when someone get kidnapp they'll be locked in a room or a basement for a long period of time. They be locked down there without eating or drinking things for days.Also they miss out on school. So if kidnapper do let them go they will be so terrified and parnoid until it comes to the point to were they have to go to therapy to get help. I also know that kidnapping is a terrifying thing to go through.

The Story Behind My Topic

The main reason I choose the topic kidnapping is because it is something that happens everyday in this world. I really want to find out why would people want to kidnap little kids and adults.But kidnapping really caught my attention when I saw these two lifetime movie "Taking In Broad Daylight" and the others I can't remeber. "Taking In Broad Daylight" caught my attention because I realize that it can happen any time or place. This movie was about A teenager girl who just left home with her brother that just came home. She left home to go buy a CD. As she was walking out the store she droped her CD beside her car and as she was picking it up the man knocked her out and put her in the car. Then just drove off like it was nothing. Well back home where her parents and brother was they just thought she was over at a friend house. When it got kind of late they called over there and tell her to come home but she wasnt over there. So they decide to call her phone,but she didn't pick up because the kidnaper threw her phone away while she was knock out. But then she finally woke up and started asking question. When she did that he held her at gun point. She  tried to find help when she was at an gas station but nobody really paid her any attention. When they got few miles down the road the kidnaper flip the car into the pond. The kidnaper got out. But the girl couldn't because she was stuck in here seat belt. He started running but when she started screaming help and coughing real bad he decide to help her. After that he found another car and stole it. While he was hotwiring the car she left little trails behind so the police would find her. The kidnapper took her to this abanded house and told her to stay there. When the police found her the kidnaper held her at gun point and threaten her. The girl persuade him that she was gone tell the police to not shoot. They didn't shoot,but soon as she open the door ran to her dad friend who was a police and they arrested the man. The girl went back home to her family and didn't hardly go no where alone again. The other movies was about little kids who was just outside their house riding their bike and this white van would stop and kidnap them. They parent would do they all to find them. When they did, they found them dead. These movies was kind of a wake up called. Saying don't go no where alone because you don't know who's out there watching you.
